In case you’re not as plugged into the cover debuts of Vogue Magazine as I am, Harry Styles has been announced as the first man to ever be featured solo on a Vogue cover. And, he’s wearing Gucci couture. More specifically, a dress.
Let’s all take a moment to marvel at this God of a man, shall we? GOOD LORD!
Anyway. Just a cool photo, right? There’s a whole spread and interview that explains the choices behind the garments, the fluidity of fashion and how Harry is inspired by it. I highly recommend giving it a read. What could be wrong here? One of the most famous singers of all time is wearing cool expensive clothes in a highly respected magazine. Seems pretty run of the mill to me, apart from it being a little more footloose and fancy free than usual. *MEN* in *DRESSES* – groundbreaking!

You chose the ONE MAN who can pull off any piece of clothing that touches his sweet skin, as the poster person for your “Bring Back Manly Men” argument??? He’s an ICON. His fanbase is rabid and unrelenting. He’s WIDELY respected across all creative fields, as well as in the media. Even my GRANDPA, an 85 year old conservative Republican, “gets a kick” out of the photos of Harry. He’s David Bowie. He’s Mick Jagger. He’s UNTOUCHABLE.
It’s time to accept the L Candace. The Directioners aren’t going to stop until you do. Admit defeat.
